Approximately 16 mi (25.7 km) of ungroomed trails are open to cross-country skiing at Hickory Run State Park. The trails vary from fairly flat to somewhat steeper slopes.

Cross-country skiing is permitted on all 13 trails throughout Nescopeck State Park. The trails are relatively flat or have slight grades and are not groomed. Many of the trailheads can be accessed from Honey Hole Rd.
